This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Lodging Facility. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front desk, guest services support for lodging operations.
  • Receive and confirm room reservations by letter, telephone, email, or personal contact.
  • Register and assign rooms to guests, make and issue room keys, and may escort guests to rooms as needed.
  • Ensure that only authorized patrons use government-sponsored quarters.
  • Calculate and post charges to patrons' accounts and balance totals with control records.
  • Accept payment, make change, and present departing guest's checkout statements.
  • Prepare and safeguard cash receipts, prepare daily cashier's report, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report.
  • Maintain current checkout list.
  • Maintain and sell sundry sales items to patrons.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ensure required information is received from guest and entered into guest folio.
  • Print backup reports from property management system.
  • Ensure housekeeping status of rooms is updated.
  • Record and notify appropriate person/organization of maintenance problems reported by guests.
  • Front desk area and lobby remains clean.
  • Process night audit procedures and close credit card machines nightly.
  • Maintain the lost and found program.
  • Ensure that customer service is the first priority.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience in general clerical or cashier work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated ability to perform satisfactorily in handling multiple tasks and providing quality customer service. Experience must have demonstrated the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems, and to make change when receiving payment from customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • Knowledge in general clerical or cashier work.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
