Senior Field Engineer

You will be the Senior Field Engineer for the Red River Army Depot (RRAD) Logistics & Maintenance Team. Our team drives the seamless post production sell off of HIMARS systems, ensuring every piece of equipment is stored, maintained, and delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standard. As the Senior Field Engineer you will be the technical liaison who balances schedule, cost, and performance while acting as the primary point of contact for local logistics services. Working side by side with RRAD personnel, you'll resolve inspection findings, support maintenance demonstrations, and help shape the logistics strategy that keeps HIMARS ready for mission. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review and correct discrepancies identified by RRAD staff during Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) inspections.
  • Provide day to day logistics management support and coordinate with customer logistics points of contact.
  • Identify, assess, and report risks tied to program activities, recommending mitigation actions.
  • Lead logistics, maintenance, and maintainability demonstrations for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support test and support equipment activities, ensuring tools and fixtures are calibrated and available.
  • Create, update, and validate system maintenance procedures and associated training products.

Further Information About This Opportunity: This position is in New Boston, TX. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Must be comfortable presenting and instructing large groups and high level dignitaries. The FSR must possess good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities. Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the customer Must be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to start.

Desired skills: Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with little or no direction and interface well with other Program disciplines. Candidate should be an analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation. The ideal candidate would be a prior service 94P or 91B with demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities. Prior military experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
