Key Responsibilities Administration & Maintenance Configure, deploy, and maintain F5 BIG-IP and BIG-IQ services. Manage F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) components for global application delivery and security. Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system stability and compliance. Security & Policy Management Create, update, and maintain security policies, including WAF (Web Application Firewall) configurations. Implement and tune bot profiles to mitigate automated threats. Configure and monitor DDoS protection across F5 platforms. Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor system health, performance, and security alerts. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to traffic management, SSL/TLS, and application availability. Provide root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Documentation & Compliance Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP modules (LTM, ASM, AFM, DNS, APM). Experience with advanced features such as IP Intelligence Familiarity with BIG-IQ for centralized management and analytics. Knowledge of F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) services and architecture. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS). Security Focus Experience configuring WAF policies, Bot Defense, and DDoS mitigation. Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and application security best practices. Other Requirements Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or iRules) for automation and customization. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or F5 Certified Solution Expert (CSE). Experience with cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and API-based automation. Experience in administering Application Security and CNAPP tools (Veracode/SonarQube/Wiz)
