Goodyear's EHS Engineer Associate promotes a strong safety culture and ensures regulatory compliance. The role supports Global Technology EHS Leads with guidance, risk management, and oversight for facility projects. Key duties include auditing, developing cost-effective solutions, and managing communications with regulatory agencies.
Lead EHS programs for assigned locations, serving as on-site tactical support and chairing safety committees.
Conduct EHS risk assessments and complete Job Safety Analyses for new R&D equipment and processes.
Perform incident investigations, including near misses and recordable injuries, using root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Ensure regulatory compliance, manage documentation, and maintain communication with government agencies.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and new hires to meet annual EHS performance targets.
Implement industrial hygiene monitoring programs in accordance with Goodyear and government requirements.
BS in Environmental, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene.
Certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental disciplines.
1-3 years industrial safety.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous waste management, and safety compliance.
Experience managing EHS programs and writing policies, programs, and SOPs.
Familiarity with machine guarding, LOTO, MOC, and Safety Management Systems.
Skilled in root cause analysis using 5 Why or Fishbone diagrams.
