The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining Interstate Batteries' endpoint systems, services, and productivity tools used by team members. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, maintaining endpoint compliance, and proactively improving user experience. Job components include: providing level-one technical support for desktop applications and endpoint hardware, building, imaging, and configuring user machines, maintaining and supporting video conferencing equipment, supporting smartphones and mobile devices (iOS preferred), proactively monitoring endpoint systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact users, troubleshooting and resolving issues through analysis and root-cause identification, logging all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system with detailed notes, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution, maintaining accurate inventory of hardware, accessories, and licenses, identifying trends in recurring issues to suggest process or system improvements, ensuring endpoints comply with company security and configuration policies, and documenting procedures, resolutions, and technical processes.
Additional skills and qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent experience in a computer-related field, 2+ years of technical customer service or IT support experience, strong troubleshooting knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365, and endpoint hardware, experience with imaging/deployment tools (SCCM, Intune, or similar), basic knowledge of networking concepts and Active Directory, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to be highly self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This is a contract to hire position based out of Dallas, TX. The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
