Associate Structural Analysis Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Structural Analysis for the Design Center in Houston, TX.

The Design Center provides engineering support to Enterprise-wide projects/programs and is a flexible team that strategically adapts to emerging opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design
  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment
  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements

Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Typically 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 2+ years related work experience in structural/stress analysis. Experience with Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.
  • Stress Liaison Engineer experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Associate: $89,250 - $120,750.
