Manufacturing Technician

Position Summary: Full time, non-exempt Manufacturing Technician at the Richardson, TX facility. The primary responsibilities will include all supporting operations for assembly and testing of Spatium and other integrated RF amplifier assemblies. This position works under the direction of the engineering manager, but also collaboratively with production supervisor and product engineering and planning. Individual must exhibit exceptional multi-tasking skills, be able to work with test equipment as well as the ability to work well in a small group atmosphere. This position requires wearing personal protective equipment, including ESD protection, working in areas with constant background noise, and may require at times: working with common chemicals and lifting 25+ lbs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies such as those relating to safety and quality
  • Perform manual and semi-automated test and assembly processes in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices
  • Follow system procedures and build instructions including processing documents, process flows, and assembly drawings
  • Collect accurate data and record work completed using logs and databases
  • Perform PM and calibration tasks for tools and equipment
  • Monitor processes to ensure product fabrication is within control limits, work to bring processes back into control when deviations occur
  • Document meticulous notes on tool, process, product performance/conditions with escalation of trends and patterns to appropriate personnel
  • Play an active role in the continuous team effort to improve quality and cycle time
  • Adherence to consistent, high-quality standards
  • Work with engineering team to assist with engineering builds and experiments
  • Drive implementation of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) projects
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and willingness to cross-train in additional areas
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years' relevant experience with test and/or assembly of microelectronic devices
  • Must have strong electrical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting abilities including the ability to read schematics
  • Computer skills for Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Awareness of Lean manufacturing: A3/8D problem solving and FMEAs
  • The ideal candidate will have strong sense of leadership, integrity, and work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are required
