Application Production Support Engineer
Insight Global is seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to join the Global Banking Technology team at a Fortune 50 financial institution. This is a fully on-site role requiring presence five days a week in Plano, TX. This candidate will be responsible for daily Production Support functions for batch applications, monitoring batch jobs and handling job failures. This candidate will monitor daily data load jobs, application, and server logs. They will also participate in high priority incident triage calls which may include but not limited to DB server issues, application server issues, batch job issues, client/regulatory impacting report issues and/or network issues, all while driving automation and process improvements. This candidate must also be comfortable working in different shifts, with some weekend and holiday work required.
Skills and Requirements:
- 3-5 years working in an Application Support or Production Support role.
- Application Support experience with IBM MQ, WebLogic, and WebSphere technologies.
- 3-5 years experience with either Hadoop, including Spark, or Informatica.
- Expertise in working with Unix and SQL.
