Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily and monthly reconciliation of all operations general ledger accounts. Provides documentation necessary for operations personnel to identify and clear outstanding items or work with other departments to clear outstanding items within the standard timeframe.
  • Reconcile internal securities positions with holdings at various custodians, depositories and fund companies and research and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Review system exception reports, including system-generated and ad hoc reports, to validate the accuracy of GL and sub ledger processing, and work with original entry resource to clear the exception.
  • Assist in the process of the daily BTEs (batch transaction entry)
  • Assist with Deposit Research and Adjustments entry to correct errors, etc.
  • Identifies training requirements through analysis of repetitive errors and provides information to management for resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years operations experience
  • 2 year accounting experience preferred
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and reliable team player and able to work independently
  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines and expectations
  • Contributes to the achievement of team goals and objectives
  • Organizational and time management skills to meet intraday deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing deadlines and expectations
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products
