Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a new team member to join our Automation and Electrical Engineering Team to be based in our Hamilton office. Welcoming applications from both intermediate and senior engineers with responsibilities and development opportunities tailored to your experience. Along with industry experience, we are seeking people with great communication skills who can represent our brand and add value to our customers – who are the heart of all we do. Plus, you will be part of a sociable processing team who deliver solutions to these customers, primarily in the dairy industry.

What you will do:

  • Work both independently and as part of a multi disciplined team to develop Electrical solutions for our customers based on either Tetra Pak or customer specific standards
  • Procure equipment and engage sub-contractors required to deliver solutions
  • Coordinate and manage electrical project delivery from design through to implementation with our sub-contractors.
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions with customers.
  • Ensure our customers' needs have been listened to.
  • Travel to support the delivery of our projects
  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak

We believe you have:

  • Proven ability to deliver on electrical design and build across the complete project lifecycle with ideally four or more years' experience.
  • A good understanding of the local AS/NZS Wiring Regulations
  • Experience with commissioning electrical solutions in a production environment (On-Site)
  • Strong communication skills to work across differing functions within the organisation.
  • A demeanor that customers/key stakeholders find approachable
  • Experience managing projects & subcontractors across the Project Lifecycle.
  • Project management skills and the self-drive to work autonomously
  • Food and beverage industry exposure is preferred
  • Exposure to Hazardous Area Design and Functional Safety Design would be an advantage
  • An understanding of PLC/HMI Hardware selection would be an advantage
  • A university degree in engineering
  • New Zealand or Australian residency with full working rights
