Job Summary: The eBeam technology represents a major breakthrough in packaging sterilisation, enabling high-speed production, reduced operational costs, and significant reductions in the use of chemicals, water, and energy. We are looking for talented people across multiple areas—Development, Engineering, Production, and Supplier Management—to help drive the evolution of our eBeam system for today's and tomorrow's filling equipment. We are hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring high product quality at all stages of production along the entire value chain. Support of procurement, development in quality aspects. Responsible of planning quality measurements for incoming quality checks as well as defining the quality checks at suppliers. Management of preventive and corrective measures in terms of quality of materials and products. Responsible for internal and external non-conformities. This is a permanent position based in Modena, Italy. For knowledge transfer from Flamatt site, travel to Switzerland is required at the beginning of the assignment.
What You Will Do:
- Creation and maintenance of test plans and test instructions for ebeam products (internal and external) at all production stages
- Driving Quality Assurance activities during product and production process changes
- Representation Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality in RD projects.
- Participation in Design Reviews & FEMAs, Q-Documentation
- Supervision of (re)calibration, (re)qualification and (re)validation of test and measurement equipment
- Supervision of Incoming goods inspection and approval of procured materials, initial samples and finished products
- Determination of purchasing specifications to suppliers in terms of quality inspection and documentation
- Issuing quality special approvals, preparation of technical reports, 8D approval Reports, cooperation with suppliers in the event of deviations, achievement of process stability, knowledge management
- Release of products for storage and shipping
- Issuing factory certificates and acceptance test certificates
- Processing of quality messages in the event of deviations in goods receipt and production
- Monitoring of quality characteristics in production, initiation of measures in the event of abnormalities
- Training of production operators
- Responsibility for steering defective products
- Development and maintenance of a production quality dashboard
- Implementation of internal and supplier audits
We Believe You Have:
- Educational and Professional Experience
- Completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Several years (5 years) of experience in manufacturing, industrial process development, precision assembly, or related engineering fields: preferable industry experience from Pharma/Medical or Automotive
- Experience with SAP, with S/4HANA is beneficial
- Knowledge in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and improvement management systems
- Good English skills (spoken and written) required
- Conversational German required for German speaking suppliers
Technical Capabilities:
- Product knowledge
- General knowledge of the Tetra Pak and customers product portfolios, ability to discuss products and understand the various supply chains and applications of the products.
- Understand the link between product specifications, production processes and manufacturing at suppliers.
- eBeam lamps EBA-90, EBA-200 Power Supply (eHVO and Production Power Supply) HV Cabel 2.
- Supplier understanding
- Understanding the operations, supply chain, priorities, stakeholders and market conditions for suppliers.
- Understand and apply a structured tools to develop and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers.
- Understand effects of supply chain on suppliers' operations and performance in order to create win-win scenarios.
- Maximize information flow and collaboration with strategic partners
- Production Processes knowledge
- Ability to read technical assembly drawings
- Understand the production flow and processes as well as the influence of product specification on the manufacturing process
- Understanding of joining processes like welding, brazing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes like degassing, baking out, conditioning, coating
- Understanding the mechanical processing and it influence on the quality of product (electropolishing, coating, sandblasting)
