Job Summary: The eBeam technology represents a major breakthrough in packaging sterilisation, enabling high-speed production, reduced operational costs, and significant reductions in the use of chemicals, water, and energy. We are looking for talented people across multiple areas—Development, Engineering, Production, and Supplier Management—to help drive the evolution of our eBeam system for today's and tomorrow's filling equipment.
The Senior Engineer for High-Voltage Systems & Firmware is responsible for the design, integration, and lifecycle management of high-voltage generators, power supplies, embedded firmware, and sensor technologies supporting production, installation, and long-term reliability. The role acts as the technical owner for key suppliers, ensures robust integration into filling machines and production systems, and provides expert support to validation rigs and production teams. This is a permanent position, based in Modena-Italy. For knowledge transfer from Flamatt site, travel to Switzerland is required at the beginning of the assignment.
Responsibilities:
We believe you have a degree in engineering automation. A PhD and/or 3 years experience in industry will be preferred. Strong expertise in high-voltage systems, power electronics, or electrical engineering. Experience with embedded firmware development (C/C++ or equivalent). Supplier management and technical ownership experience. Familiarity with industrial production equipment and integration processes. Experienced designer of analog sensor circuits and in doing layouts for PCB with Altium Knowledge in design of EMC compliant boards and testing Experienced to work with EMS Programming languages C, C++, C#, Python Frameworks Keil, STM32, Microchip, Qt,.NET Familiar with unit tests, robot framework, UML (Enterprise Architect) Familiar with git, gitlab ci/cd, jira, confluence Strong background of electronics, communication protocols Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Availability to travel up to 40% for the first two years High sense of discipline, attention to details, ability to motivate a team, high level of negotiation skills, creative, adaptable, self-motivated and results oriented.
