Job Summary We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence & Analytics Engineer to strengthen the Equipment Data Engineering & AI organization. A Technical Leader E2E role at the intersection of AI, analytics, software, networking, and industrial equipment In this role, you will act as a system-level technical leader, responsible for defining direction and delivering end-to-end industrial solutions that combine software, data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and equipment integration. The position combines hands-on development, system architecture responsibility, and technical leadership, working across teams and stakeholders. The role requires comfort operating in complex environments, supporting multiple projects while ensuring scalable, maintainable, and robust solutions deployed on industrial equipment.
What you will do Act and collaborate with system architect at solution level, defining and maintaining technical architecture across software, data, analytics, AI, networking, and equipment integration Lead the development of end-to-end solutions, from problem analysis and requirements clarification to validation and deployment of equipment Promote a defined technical direction to team peers, guiding when business needs, design decisions, priorities, and implementation approaches Design and develop software solutions enabling data collection, analytics, and AI-supported use cases (e.g. quality, performance, diagnostics) Integrate analytics and AI capabilities into industrial systems considering operational, safety, and lifecycle constraints Apply and promote structured and automated development, testing, and release processes, ensuring reliable and repeatable delivery Drive and support system integration, commissioning, verification, and troubleshooting in industrial environments Act as a technical interface toward stakeholders, aligning with automation, electrical, quality, system engineering, IT/OT, platform, and business teams Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the full solution lifecycle Ensure delivered solutions meet expectations in terms of performance, reliability, explainability, maintainability, and serviceability Foster a collaborative team environment, supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
We believe you have Experience & mindset Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, software, vision, AI development or similar roles equipment-related contexts Proven experience in systems design and end-to-end solution architecture Strong ownership mindset, beyond individual components Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving attitude, able to investigate issues across software, data, systems, and integration Ability to work dynamically across projects and organizational interfaces, handling ambiguity and changing priorities Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Team-oriented attitude, able to lead by example Technical competencies Software development Solid background in software development Experience with one or more programming languages such as: C#, C++, Python, or similar (ability to learn and adapt is more important than expertise in a single language) Artificial Intelligence & Analytics Practical experience with data analytics and AI-enabled solutions, including at least one of: Data processing and data pipelines Analytics applied to equipment or process data Integration of AI/ML models into operational software systems IoT, Messaging & Integration Experience with IoT technologies, preferably Microsoft IoT stack Experience with message broker / event bus technologies Containers & orchestration Experience with Docker Experience with Kubernetes-based orchestration, such as AKS, RKE, or K3s Development & delivery practices Experience working with structured and automated build, test, and release processes, ensuring reliable and repeatable software delivery Familiarity with collaborative version-control workflows Networking Practical understanding of industrial and system networking, including: TCP/IP basics, subnets, routing concepts Ethernet-based industrial networks Communication patterns between edge devices, IPCs, PLCs, and cloud/IT systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network-related issues impacting data flow and system integration Ability to collaborate effectively with IT/OT and automation teams Vision domain Experience with industrial vision systems, including: Image acquisition from industrial cameras & protocols Vision pipelines (acquisition, preprocessing, analysis, result delivery) Vision applied to quality inspection, detection, or measurement Familiarity with vision constraints in industrial environments (lighting, timing, throughput) Additional qualifications (considered a plus) Electrical knowledge Practical electrical knowledge, such as: Reading and understanding electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Basic understanding of industrial electrical principles (power supply, signals, I/O, grounding) Ability to collaborate with electrical and automation engineers during integration and troubleshooting AI platforms & orchestration Experience with AI frameworks and integration patterns Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar approaches for connecting AI models with tools, data, and services Experience with LLM-based or generative AI solutions in engineering or industrial contexts Storage technologies Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, SQLite, MySQL Non-relational databases: MongoDB Front-end ReactJS Cloud Microsoft Azure Control & automation environment Experience with Rockwell, Beckhoff, Siemens Experience with HMI/SCADA systems Experience with I/O servers and Knowledge of field bus technologies
