Commercial Support and Logistics Manager

Overall responsibility for managing the sales order process, for scheduling customer and stock units on the production planner, overall management of the shipping operations for all manufactured products, contribution to the Sales and Operation Planning process as well as providing a high standard of customer service to the worldwide dealer network and ensuring compliance at all times.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the Sales Order Process and commercial reporting for 4 MP brands globally
  • Oversee the scheduling of customer and stock units on the production planner and loading onto TMS
  • Co-ordination with other internal functions, mainly sales, engineering, production, finance and purchasing across the Terex sites as well as with our worldwide dealer network.
  • Provision of key management information to improve company performance
  • Pricing, invoicing, maintaining and improving procedures and documentation to ensure strict compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) & Revenue Recognition parameters and completing a range of sales reports.
  • You will also be working with various departments to ensure monthly sales targets are achieved as well as involved in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Managing Dealer Dashboards in qlickcloud alongside IT.
  • You will oversee the transport & shipping operation, as well as act as the main point of contact for dealers on lead time enquiries, pricing enquiries, machine dispatches etc.
  • To bring strategic direction to the business with the production of detailed Business Development Plans down to country and dealer level
  • Liaise with Global Sales Director to develop Annual Operating plan for Brands and update in line with finance calendar for each forecast
  • Management of dealer onboarding process

The role will also involve some travel to visit and support dealers and to participate in exhibitions and dealer events. There may be a requirement to cooperate with other Terex group companies in activities to improve Customer Support and Services.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Ideally applicants should have a third level education
  • The successful candidate should have a proven track record at management level and experience in a customer facing role and continuous improvement environment
  • The successful candidate needs to be process oriented and willing to continuously drive improvements throughout the value chain from suppliers through the factory and onto dealers and customers
  • Some technical knowledge may be advantageous

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills are all essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent IT Skills, specifically with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work in an environment that is fluid and fast paced with constantly changing priorities without losing sight of targets.
  • Ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.
  • Self-motivated and action oriented.
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Highest level of integrity.
