We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer to identify strategic initiatives that will form the next generation of Amazon Logistics. As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. In this role, you will primarily work on designing and building automated reporting and dashboards using complex data. The team's success depends on our ability to create actionable insight from the data that we and our partners generate. The ideal BIE candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, business acumen, high judgment, strong technical skills, and good written and verbal communication skills. This person will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you should have broad skills in data mining, be comfortable dealing with large and complex data sets, while applying analytical rigor to solve business problems. This role is cross-functional - you will work closely with partners in Product Management, Training and Program Management to design and deliver data needs. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, start-up environment, and seek data-driven decision-making. You should have strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work with product managers and business development teams to define key business questions and build data sets and models that answer them.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
