Service Technician Opportunity
TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our growing Low Voltage Install Team. This is a pivotal new role that will help expand our capabilities beyond structured cabling into full hardware installation and service support. As the first dedicated Service Technician on the team, you'll play a key role in shaping our service offering and supporting both installation and troubleshooting efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service and troubleshooting work using tools such as multimeters and testers to trace and resolve issues.
- Install and service Access Control systems, CCTV, voice/data, and fiber optic cabling.
- Utilize OTDR and Fluke testers to test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks.
- Support smaller installation projects alongside a helper when service work is not available.
- Drive your own vehicle to job sites (mileage and usage reimbursement provided).
Top Skills & Experience:
- Access Control installation and service
- CCTV systems
- Fiber optic cable installation and testing (OTDR & Fluke)
- General low voltage installation and service work
- Strong troubleshooting skills using multimeters and network testers
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a service technician role, especially in low voltage environments
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic testing and troubleshooting
- Willingness to work on both service and install projects as needed
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
