You'll help build a new data plane for our customers, scale the service, and improve our engineering processes.

Responsibilities

As a member of the OCI Platform Service team, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, design, build, and operate a new data plane service for our customers. Your work will involve:

  • Designing and developing new service features
  • Writing code and delivering high-quality solutions
  • Operating and supporting the service, including troubleshooting and customer support
  • Partnering closely with other cloud platform teams (compute, networking, search, storage)
  • Contributing to a fast-growing, early-stage team working on ambitious new initiatives

This team is seeking candidates who can work ONSITE in Austin, TX or Nashville, TN. Relocation assistance is provided. This is not a remote position.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment

Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in PaaS engineering

Experience developing service-oriented architectures and web services security solutions

Development experience with Java and scripting languages

Experience collaborating with other cloud platform teams to accommodate cross-team requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences

Comfort working in a collaborative, agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, especially in a cloud environment

Familiarity with distributed computing and cloud-based platforms

Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only: US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
