Operations Warehouse Manager

The Operations Warehouse Manager develops, implements, and maintains all procedures and protocols regarding inbound/outbound inventory and all production support activities. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the proper warehousing and inventory control of all raw materials, finished goods, factory supplies, and all other inventory related to production activities. Specifically, the production support activities the Warehouse Manager will oversee include replenishment, kitting, material prep, spare parts, inbound/outbound freight, shipment of finished goods, and overall inventory control. The Operations Warehouse Manager will also assist and support the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to achieve short- and long-term operational goals and objectives concerning inventory control and production efficiencies.

Key tasks include:

  • Managing, leading, and optimizing all inbound and outbound inventory activities
  • Managing, leading, and optimizing inventory control, inventory flow, warehouse footprint and utilization in support of all inbound, outbound, and production support activities
  • Managing, leading, and optimizing inventory cycle counting and reconciliation activities
  • Developing and supporting countermeasures to address gaps in the reconciliation processes
  • Managing, leading, and optimizing all production support activities (replenishment, kitting, material prep, and spare parts)
  • Analyzing inventory levels for consumption volatility in order to assist supply chain team with optimized inventory levels
  • Supporting development and management of department budget
  • Continually developing and forecasting staffing and warehouse footprint needs
  • Coordinating development of short and long-range inventory strategies and metrics
  • Supporting warehouse supervisors with all day-to-day activities
  • Developing, managing, and exceeding department KPI's
  • Driving continuous improvement for all relevant standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process maps
  • Developing and mentoring staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, development opportunities and performance management processes
  • Ensuring all safety rules/procedures are adhered to in the warehouse

Your background:

  • BA/BS degree preferred and/or 5-7 years' experience in material management related field
  • Preferred 5 years' experience managing inventory and production support activities in a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years of warehouse management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Control, Purchasing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Process
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with WMS and ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
