Lending Services Processor

The Lending Services Processor is responsible for processing collateral lien perfection documents for consumer and commercial new loans and modifications. The processor processes lien perfection documents for various types of collateral including real estate, vehicle titles and consumer UCC filings. The Lending Services Processor demonstrates high standards for quality, quantity and a high concentration level for protecting the loan assets of the bank. This position will support the Collateral Release and Collateral Perfection Team.

The essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Meets productivity goals within established time frames
  • Delivers on our service promise in loan ops
  • Ensures sound risk management and internal controls are met
  • Embraces change and ensures an inclusive, positive work climate

The areas of responsibility include:

  • Processing collateral lien perfection documents
  • Ensuring First Horizon's lien is accurately placed on the appropriate collateral documents
  • Processing lien perfection integrity reports
  • Communicating with state and county recording clerk's offices
  • Communicating with third party vendors
  • Communicating with internal customers to ensure all collateral documents are accurate for lien placement
  • Accurate placement of collateral lien perfection documents in ARX
  • Maintaining compliance with policy and procedures
  • Working with others to ensure the entire team's work is within SLA
  • Helping with training new employees and/or new process
  • Monitoring the lien perfection team email box
  • Cross training with lien release tasks
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or work experience requirements: High school diploma with 2 – 5 years of experience in lending or related field required. College degree with loan - consumer and/or commercial experience, or experience working with or identifying loan documents preferred but not required.

Knowledge - General banking products or lending knowledge

Skills – Strong written and verbal communications skills; teamwork/teambuilding skills; general office skills including: typing, filing (alphabetically and numerically), and applicable technology (ARX, ALS, FDR, Hogan, etc.); high attention to detail and concentrate on work in spite of distractions; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); strong organizational and prioritization skills are needed.

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work and minimal errors
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm & pleasant
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting but also be accountable for individual tasks
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change
  • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with or without the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
