Job Summary And Qualifications

Parallon ITG is seeking the key strategic position of the Director of Application Services for our Web Tools organization. This person will be accountable for the leadership and stewardship of the product development teams for key areas of Revenue Cycle applications and technologies. The Director will lead the management staff and team through the design, development, configuration, customization, and support of software related to Healthcare Revenue Cycle. Responsible for the coordination and direction of cross-functional teams of developers, technicians, analysts, and business process experts on strategic programs, projects, and activities. Advises in future technology direction of systems. Leads in the relationship with vendors and business owners. This individual will be a key leader in the strategy going forward for all areas for Parallon. It is essential to have a background and operational experience in HealthCare Revenue Cycle IT Solutions. The Director needs good communication and interpersonal skills and will be interfacing directly with the Parallon executive team, ITG leadership, executives, and key leaders of our external clients. Provides leadership and continuous improvement of people, process, and technology tied to registry development. Communicates with business partners during planning, design, build, and implementation phases. Provides oversight, direction, and communication during outages. Strategic thinker who researches new technologies and facilitates and creates ideas on where the technology and organization need to go. Communication is key in bringing those ideas and strategies to leadership to change the direction of the organization. Individual can build coalitions to help drive the organization to change when we need to head in a different direction. Mentors development staff on best practices and technical/development standards when developing. Mentors and grows their management staff on leadership, communication, team building, and team culture.

Major Responsibilities

Communicates a clear vision for the team and leads the organization in achieving them. Provides leadership and direction for Revenue Cycle Applications. Provides direction on the design and roadmap for modernizing the existing applications. Developing long range strategic plans for development products. Directs and guides specialized resources internal and external to the company in new and complex state of the art technologies. Resources include onshore and offshore vendors. Ensure quality in the definition and development of product software specifications and minimize risk in the deployment of 'replacement' solutions. Responsible for the full life-cycle process from design to development, testing, product release, and maintenance. Responsible for the quality of products by utilizing best practices and processes. Evaluate current and emerging tools and technologies and recommending these tools to executive management. Willing to model the way and lead by example and have an unmistakably clear set of strong business and personal ethics. Desire to have true hands-on experience and directly own customer's relationship with applications. Will be the central point of contact for area projects. Responsible for all lifecycle stages of the projects. Manages the strategic direction and day-to-day tactical delivery of the team's projects and support of those applications. This includes setting goals, tracking performance metrics, and executing on the approved portfolio. Creates a positive environment for the team including open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues. A coach, who mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and contractors. Implement and monitor team members' individual performance plans. Responsible for the growth of your team member's professional careers. Builds strong relationships with ITG leaders, business leaders, project managers, SSC leaders, and technical specialists and for delivering products. Present to senior management project-related information (e.g., project proposals, plans, updates, issues, and recommendations). Present project updates at Quarterly Management Meetings. Assist in implementing and refining a successful product development process, including identification of key decision points, decision-making matrices highlighting risks/benefits associated with critical decision options, and application of appropriate portfolio management principles. Release management by providing oversight and activity planning for all applications releases. Considering operational support requirements including reliability, operability, 24X7 operation, and automation.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

Education: College Graduate Required Undergrad

Experience: Relevant Work Experience: 7 or more years Other preferred/required experience: Familiarity with revenue cycle systems or healthcare cost accounting Management Work Experience: 7 or more years Special Qualifications: Background and operational experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle and/or Cost Accounting is a big plus Other key qualifications include 7 or more years of experience on increasingly challenging projects in business, or systems analysis or systems development Successful leadership experiences Thorough understanding of critical IT processes – project lifecycles & SDLC Ability to communicate succinctly and in a variety of media Strong collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
