The candidate must work onsite in Jackson, TN. The position is a three-month contract to start, but there will be a strong possibility for extension(s). The candidate must be flexible to work different shifts. Our client has three different shifts during the week (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). The Desktop Support / Field Support Technician will be supporting a Windows 10/11 environment with about 250 machines (computers), 250 printers, including zebra printers, label printers, and 250 scanners. A good deal of support will be with Zebra printer and hand-held scanner issues as they arise. Additionally, they will need understanding and experience with hardware troubleshooting and break fix issues, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, SCCM for imaging and deployments, and managing clients. Involvement could include device refreshes – imaging, deploying, migrating machines. Need to have strong customer service and communication skills and willing to be aggressive and push forward with less direction. Network understanding is a plus. Ideal candidate will work independently with limited direction. Organized and follow through on closing tickets. Willingness to work in a manufacturing/plant floor environment. Manufacturing experience is a plus. The customer is moving to a more automated environment so any experience and understanding of automation will be helpful.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
