The Assistant Director of Imaging works under the direct supervision of the Director of Imaging to maintain an effective and efficiently run imaging department. Provides leadership, staff development, and management of key functions to provide high quality patient care. Assist with various reporting duties and day to day operations of all imaging modalities at all Tennessee Oncology imaging sites. Displays interpersonal skills required by exercising judgment and discretion when dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Supports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Conduct and Business Standards. In addition to these duties the Imaging Operations Manager is also responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams as well as PET/CT imaging according to the physician's orders and the radiologist's guidelines. Follows rules and regulations established by the NRC and state-licensing agencies in the proper method of handling radioactive isotopes and the provision of quality patient care.
