DIMENSION / SCOPE OF THE JOB:

• Strong fundamentals of thermodynamics, computational fluid mechanics, strength and structural mechanics, engine dynamics, finite element analysis, numerical solution methods and manufacturing process for powertrain components

• Advanced knowledge of combustion engines and simulation

• Goal- and result-oriented, very independent, and organized working style

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

MAJOR ROLE OF THE POSITION:

• Simulation of piston ring/piston dynamics including friction, wear and NVH

• Independent execution of finite element analysis (FEA) and durability of conceptual solutions for pistons, piston assemblies and possibly adjacent components

• Simulation of engine thermodynamics and piston assembly temperature

• Simulation of piston solidification for aluminium gravity die casting

• Implement and enhance best practices to improve the efficiency of simulation process

• Presentation of the simulation reports to application engineering and customers

• Comparison of the simulation results with the engine test results

• Carrying out the assigned project simulations in compliance with specified target deadlines
