Performs and/or assists with various types of radiologic procedures, following protocols established by radiologists. Prepares, maintains, and operates radiographic equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Follows appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Produces quality radiographs for interpretation by radiologist. Takes measures to maintain optimal departmental operations. Follows procedures related to registration and EHR use. Explains procedures to patients, positions patients and equipment, develops films, and maintains and operates specialized radiologic equipment in accordance with care standards. Contributes to a safe and therapeutic environment that is centered on the needs of the patients, caregivers and others demonstrating concern for the patient's privacy, comfort, and emotional state. Treats patient with consideration to age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Non-Degree Program Graduate from a Two-Year AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Program Required.
Experience: 1 Year Experience as a Radiology Technologist Required.
Licenses: Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst Required; Basic Life Support Required.
