The Manager of the Linguistic and Cultural Services Department provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations, staff management, budget, and compliance needs of the department. The Manager ensures high-quality, timely, and culturally competent services are delivered to Limited English Proficient (LEP), Deaf, and Hard of Hearing patients. This role supervises in-house and contracted interpreters, oversees translation services, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, and supports the Director in department-wide strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. Completion of a Core Medical Interpreter Training (CMIT) course or Bachelor's degree in translation and interpretation Required. Master's Degree Preferred.
Experience: 2 years experience teaching Required. General Experience in management and in a healthcare environment Required.
Licenses: Prof. Medical Interpreter Required. Cert Healthcare Interpreter Preferred or Certified Medical Interpreter Preferred.
