Role Overview

The Systems Infrastructure team at Temenos manages the critical underlying systems that support the global business, including authentication, email, connectivity solutions, PKI, hypervisors, storage, and a large server base hosted primarily in VMware and Microsoft Azure. This role is responsible for designing and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency in an ever-expanding technology landscape, with a particular focus on Microsoft technologies. Strong automation and scripting skills are essential for deploying and improving processes. The position involves a mix of project delivery — implementing new functionality and upgrading existing sub-systems — and operational responsibilities, including managing escalated level 3 tickets and ensuring stability of the systems under management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the change management process and ensure only approved changes are implemented.
  • Drive automation of core systems patching to achieve zero downtime.
  • Contribute to the implementation of projects and execute assigned project tasks.
  • Extend the monitoring system and define automatic recovery actions.
  • Participate in escalated ticket triages and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks and prevent recurring escalations.
  • Conduct detailed incident analysis and provide comprehensive reporting to the business.
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and liaise with third-party providers such as Microsoft Premier when necessary.
  • Draft infrastructure architecture documentation and store it in the corporate knowledge library.
  • Create solution documents for delegation to 1st and 2nd line support, reducing unnecessary escalations.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of infrastructure processes and performance.

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022/2025.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere or another virtualization solution.
  • Experience managing multi-forest Active Directory environments, preferably hybrid with Entra ID.
  • Experience with Entra ID and associated services such as MFA and Conditional Access.
  • Advanced practical PowerShell knowledge and scripting expertise.
  • Working knowledge of CA hierarchies, certificate templates, CRLs, and interactions with public providers (e.g., DigiCert).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or another major cloud provider (e.g., AWS).
  • Experience with load balancers, both virtual (Windows NLB) and hardware (Kemp).
  • Experience with Exchange in a hybrid setup (preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams and OneDrive (preferred).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and their application to infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems, preferably ManageEngine.
  • A proactive approach to staying up to date with emerging technology trends.
  • A degree in IT or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, be goal-oriented, and thrive in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Core Values

  • Care – about our clients, our people, and the impact of what we do.
  • Commit – to results and deliver with integrity.
  • Collaborate – across teams, cultures, and geographies.
  • Challenge – the status quo to drive innovation.

Benefits

  • Maternity leave: Transition back with 3 days per week in the first month and 4 days per week in the second month.
  • Civil Partnership: 1 week of paid leave if you're getting married. This covers marriages and civil partnerships, including same sex/civil partnership.
  • Family care: 4 weeks of paid family care leave.
  • Recharge days: 4 days per year to use when you need to physically or mentally recharge.
  • Study leave: 2 weeks of paid leave each year for study or personal development.
