This is an exciting opportunity to join Telestream's QA automation team as a Software Engineer in Test. The products tested by this group are used in many high-profile live events (e.g. sports, music, reality TV) and file-based media workflows for broadcast networks and cable companies.

Position Summary:

This role involves designing and developing frameworks for automated testing, creating tools for test evaluation and reporting, and deploying and managing CI/CD test infrastructure. The Software Engineer in Test will execute functional, negative, performance and end-to-end testing, develop automated tests to minimize regression cycle, and use code coverage tools to identify and expand test coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop frameworks for automated testing.
• Create tools for test evaluation and reporting.
• Deploy and manage CI/CD test infrastructure.
• Execute functional, negative, performance and end-to-end testing.
• Develop automated tests to minimize regression cycle.
• Use of code coverage tools to identify and expand test coverage.
• Identify and report issues, determine their root cause, and verify issues are resolved to satisfy customer expectations.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues while working collaboratively with engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or similar.
• 2+ years' experience in an automated testing role with a technology organization.
• Knowledge of object orienting programming, design patterns and relational databases.
• Familiarity with digital media, video streaming, and/or subtitling.
• Experience with Git version control and project collaboration.
• Expertise with CI/CD systems for automated testing.

Additional Strengths:

• Programming capability (e.g. C#, TypeScript).
• Proficiency in consuming RESTful APIs through scripting or programming.
• Experience with frontend automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright).
• Knowledge of broadcast infrastructure (e.g. SDI, ST2110).
• Familiarity with video processing tools (e.g. FFmeg, OBS).
