Senior Development Engineer System Integration (100%)

This position is based in Bülach, Switzerland, responsible for the development, production, and marketing of balloon catheters and drug-coated stent systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Definition of technical requirements and specifications for electrical components in medical devices (e.g., coronary heart catheters)
• Conception and execution of test series in the design development of a novel, active catheter technology
• Evaluation and selection of suitable technologies and components in close coordination with internal and external partners
• Interface function between internal catheter development and external development partners of hardware and software – coordination, technical alignment, specification alignment, and integration
• Interdisciplinary cooperation in complex international development projects
• Creation of technical documentation for approvals (MDR, FDA) and audits
• Planning and execution of verification and validation activities

Qualifications

• Completed degree in medical technology (e.g., Biomedical Engineering), with a focus on electronic implants or electrical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the development of medical devices
• Experience in working with external development partners and service providers
• Proficient knowledge in the application of Design of Experiments (DoE) for systematic experimental planning and optimization in design and process development
• Experience with relevant standards: ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and risk management according to ISO 14971 is advantageous
• Communicative, connecting, and solution-oriented personality, which feels comfortable in an interdisciplinary and international environment
• Pioneer spirit with a passion for establishing new technologies and competencies in the organization
• High level of personal responsibility and implementation skills
• Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
