Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

1. Oversee Cost Improvement Programs (CIPs) as per planned in the project planning and execution stage to meet the timeline and savings target of the Site.

2. Oversee CAPEX spending as per planned in the project planning stage and ensure PEA is raised at the stipulated time to meet the spending plan.

3. Lead and manage Global, Regional, and Local Site Key Strategic Projects when required.

4. Main owner of the Project Management System (Planview) for Site and Region.

5. Coordinate for Monthly Site/Regional Scorecard Review meeting when required.

6. Accountable for project within the organization to meet the business objectives.

7. Perform periodic reviews of progress against plans. Ensure plans are executed appropriately within the department. Be accountable for timely delivery of all product development deliverables as specified in the plans.

8. Develop detailed budgets in accordance with project and department plans, and business objectives.

9. Create and stimulate an open environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and "out of the box" approaches.

10. Develop and coordinate the execution of protocols for the validation of new or modified devices or components including validations of design, manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and sterilization where applicable with development engineers and appropriate support group departments such as Quality Assurance, Material Management, and Operations.

11. Work with Manufacturing in the justification and the selection of the manufacturing process and assign projects and establish priorities to ensure deadlines and goals are achieved.

12. Interface with process engineering and quality engineering to coordinate changes in process, tooling, equipment, and material identified to positively impact the manufacturing process while staying within the regulatory requirements and Product Design Control Procedures.

13. Ensure the implementation and maintenance within the workplace of an effective management for occupational safety and health consistent with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.

14. Work with support group for on-going development and advancement such as Site Operating System (SOS).

15. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification: Minimum Degree/Diploma in Engineering related or other relevant field. Strong interpersonal and communication skill. Must be able to communicate fluently (written and verbal) in English and Malay Language. Strong organizational leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Strong technical, management judgment, and team orientation. Strong skills in project planning and management. Lean Six Sigma and Project Management related certification is an advantage. Proven working experience in project management in the medical industry. Able to work independently with strong leadership ability.

Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 8 years relevant working experience in project management. Project management and people management experience required, ideally in the medical device industry with a proven track record of delivering products to market.
