Serve as a senior technical expert on complex telecommunications network projects involving all phases of network design, implementation, and analysis.
Manage and oversee the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers.
Design access and backbone networks utilizing carrier services and oversee wireless voice and data network design (using private radio facilities or commercial services).
Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks.
Review work products for accuracy, adherence to design concepts, user standards, and schedule compliance.
Make recommendations for approval of major network installations and infrastructure changes.
Prepare milestone status reports, technical documentation, and deliver presentations on network progress to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable DLA and Host Activity site-specific safety requirements and OSHA Aerial Lift Training standards.
Secret – IT-I (Tier 5/SSBI) Critical Sensitive Clearance
Minimum of seven (7) years of network operations experience.
Higher-level education or military service may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing large-scale telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations projects.
Proven experience analyzing, designing, and managing WAN and wireless network systems.
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
Cisco computing environment certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE, or equivalent certifications from other vendors.
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification required within 180 days of base contract award.
