The MarTech Engineer is the technical expert and owner of our marketing activation stack. This role serves as the critical bridge between the data platform and our marketing teams, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data flows and integrations that power personalized customer journeys and targeted campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical strategy, implementation, and operational management of our Customer Engagement Platform (Braze) and Mobile Measurement Partner (Kochava).
  • Design and build robust, scalable integrations to facilitate the activation of audiences from our CDP/Snowflake to various downstream marketing and advertising platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team to technically implement sophisticated, multi-channel campaigns, leveraging real-time data for personalization.
  • Work with the Ad Sales team to create and syndicate audience segments for targeted advertising, ensuring data privacy and compliance.
  • Manage the technical aspects of identity resolution and consent management platforms as they pertain to the MarTech ecosystem.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the MarTech stack, including SDK integrations, API connections, and data discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical marketing, marketing operations, or data engineering role.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with a major CEP like Braze or Iterable, including API usage, campaign setup, and personalization logic.
  • Hands-on experience with a major MMP like Kochava.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying a data warehouse like Snowflake to perform audience segmentation and analysis.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs for integrating marketing platforms.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app and web data collection, including event tracking and SDK implementation.
  • Experience with a CDP like RudderStack for event collection and routing.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools like Amplitude.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and their impact on marketing technology.
  • Scripting skills in Python for automation and data manipulation tasks.
