Job Overview

Planning and controlling manufacturing processes and purchasing volumes for injection molding and stamping tools based on the requirements of ME/MDE (Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance), taking into account deadlines, costs, and quality.

Job Requirements

  • Preparing preliminary and final cost estimates for new tools, tool optimizations, and spare parts
  • Assisting with manufacturability assessments for new or modified products
  • Performing make-or-buy analyses and decisions
  • Creating operating resource specifications based on the requirements of the specifications
  • Project planning/scheduling of production processes and the necessary production capacities, from parts production to testing of the finished injection molding and stamping tools
  • Ensuring and fine-tuning schedules in close coordination with the production departments
  • Creating production master data (part master data/work plans/parts lists/capacity data) in SAP and MES Hydra for production planning and control as well as cost tracking
  • Developing planned time catalogs for determining production times as well as setup and machine running times
  • Continuous improvement of punching and injection molding technologies in cooperation with series production and MDE/ME
  • Participation in supplier selection and supplier development

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • University degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, design engineering) or master craftsman, technician with relevant professional experience
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
  • Sound professional experience in the fields of stamping technology or injection molding
  • Very good business management skills
  • Several years of experience in work preparation
  • Extensive software knowledge (Microsoft Office, SAP, company-specific software)
  • Good English skills
