Job Overview: We are looking for a Machine Shop Support team member to help maintain the efficient day-to-day operation of our machine shop. This hands-on role supports machinists and ensures equipment and the working environment are kept in good condition.
Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including changing oils and coolant on machines
Support machinists by following direction and assisting with shop floor activities
Maintain cleanliness of the workshop by cleaning, tidying, and organizing work areas
Use your own initiative to identify and complete tasks that support the smooth running of the department
Help ensure machines and equipment are kept in safe working order
Dispose of waste materials and fluids in line with company procedures
Contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment
What your background should look like:
Manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced machinists
Ability to use your own initiative and work independently when required
Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
Ability to work safely and follow processes
Reliable team player with a positive, proactive attitude
