Determines problems within specific systems and provides solutions, including designing new systems, platforms or test applications.
Responsibilities: It proposes improvements in manual processes to increase productivity and eliminate waste. Plan and execute the integration of automated equipment and/or improvements to current processes. Provides technical support to the manufacturing area for equipment fault correction and/or training in the handling of automated equipment. Identify, develop and implement plans for waste disposal and process optimization. It is part of the manufacturing engineering group and is in charge of the implementation of automation projects for manual processes or those that require it. Perform other related duties, assigned or required by the Engineering Manager.
Requirements: Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in similar roles. Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programmer (Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley, Rockwell), and advanced knowledge of diagrams and communication protocols. Experience in manufacturing processes. Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Proficiency in computing and programming of interface screens (HMI). Proficiency in the use of 3D mechanical design software (SolidWorks and PTC Creo), applied to the development of automation solutions. Proficiency in the interpretation of functional requirements and translate them into CAD models, considering manufacturing, assembly, safety and ergonomics criteria. Proficiency in the design of fixtures, custom mechanisms, workstations and special machines, integrating pneumatic, electrical and structural components. Intermediate English.
