Job Requirements

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for the development, retention, and profitability of a portfolio of strategic accounts in the aerospace, defense, and maritime sectors. You act as the preferred contact for your clients and drive the long-term commercial relationship in close coordination with internal teams (pre-sales, projects, quality, supply chain, engineering).

Key Account Management

  • Pilot a portfolio of large accounts and strategic accounts
  • Develop revenue and margin through additional sales and cross-selling actions
  • Build and deploy account plans aligned with client business challenges
  • Identify opportunities related to long-term programs, industrial ramp-ups, and new platforms

Commercial Development

  • Prospect new accounts and projects in the ecosystem
  • Analyze tenders and pilot commercial responses in coordination with internal teams
  • Negotiate commercial, contractual, and pricing terms
  • Contribute to the commercial strategy of the segment

Client Relationship & Project Management

  • Ensure client satisfaction and quality of the relationship over time
  • Coordinate internal actors to ensure the proper execution of contracts
  • Anticipate client risks (quality, timelines, financial) and propose action plans
  • Participate in client reviews and steering committees

Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Ensure regular reporting of commercial activity (pipeline, forecasts, KPIs)
  • Conduct market, technology, and competitive intelligence on AD&M sectors
  • Feed back client needs to contribute to continuous improvement of the offer

What Your Background Should Look Like

We are looking for a profile with:

Education

  • Higher education degree (Bac+5, business school, engineer, or equivalent)

Experience

  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) as an Account Manager or B2B Commercial Engineer
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: aerospace, defense, naval, heavy industry, complex systems
  • Mastery of selling technical solutions or high-value-added solutions

Skills

  • Excellent negotiation and management skills for complex accounts
  • Solid understanding of industrial environments and long-term programs
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Professional English (written and spoken)
