Senior Piping Material Handling Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Piping Material Handling Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of the Department to join our team based in UAE, Abu Dhabi.

Specialist engineer with Degree in Mechanical Engineering having minimum 10 years' experience and with excellent knowledge in Piping Stress analysis and pipe support design in major oil/gas offshore and onshore projects.

Reports operationally to the Lead Stress Engineer with the following responsibilities / profile, as a minimum:

• Capable of qualifying piping routing for high pressure compressors / pumps & other static equipment in oil and gas industry as per codes.
• Should have a good understanding of piping layouts as well as concept of EPC.
• In depth knowledge of relevant code requirements is essential.
• Preparation of Job specification for stress analysis.
• Preparation of stress critical line list.
• Stress analysis (static & dynamic) of critical lines and interpretation of results.
• Co-ordination with layout & supports team for implementation of stress analysis requirements and proposing improvements to have a more cost-effective design.
• Ensure compliance with code requirements and other project specifications for nozzle loadings.
• Preparation of specifications for expansion bellows, springs, rigid struts, etc.
• Should be able to foresee major bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Preparation of Data Sheets for expansion bellows, springs, Rigid struts, sliding plates, etc.
• Technical evaluation of vendor offers and vendor documents review for special pipe support items like expansion bellow, springs, Rigid struts etc.
