If you have solid practical experience in embedded systems, computer engineering, or related areas — and are excited to teach, collaborate, and shape the next generation of engineers — we invite you to join us as a part-time external lecturer at DTU Compute. Our section, Embedded Systems Engineering (ESE), works at the forefront of dependable, high-performance, and adaptive computing systems. We develop design technologies and computing platforms for distributed and embedded systems, with applications in IoT, Edge AI, safety-critical systems, and quantum computing. We are seeking new colleagues to support our growing teaching activities and help strengthen our connections with industry.
Responsibilities and qualifications: You will contribute to teaching activities within our BSc and MSc programmes, especially in areas such as: Embedded systems and digital design, Hardware/software co-design, Dependable and real-time systems, Operating systems and system-level programming, Verification and design of digital systems, Quantum computing and high-performance computing. You may be involved in course delivery, supervision of student projects, and examinations. The exact teaching duties and time commitment will be agreed based on our teaching needs and your availability, up to a maximum of 20% time. In addition to teaching, we see the role as an opportunity to promote collaboration with industry. We welcome external lecturers who are interested in co-supervising MSc and PhD students, supporting industrial PhD/researcher applications, and contributing to joint research proposals. Applicants for the post of part-time lecturer must have a master's degree, as well as additional qualifications at a high level, for example, particular areas of specialisation, expertise or practical experience achieved through employment involving practical application of the discipline. Teaching qualifications form part of the basis of the assessment.

We offer: DTU is a leading technical university globally recognized for the excellence of its research, education, innovation and scientific advice. We offer a rewarding and challenging job in an international environment. We strive for academic excellence in an environment characterized by collegial respect and academic freedom tempered by responsibility.
