We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in Kotlin and cloud-native development. You will help design and implement microservices and AWS Lambda functions, while also contributing to our Ruby on Rails codebase. This project involves both modern microservices development and the improvement of legacy systems, offering a unique opportunity to grow across technologies.

Responsibilities

• Kotlin Development: Build and maintain services and applications using Kotlin, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Microservices & Cloud: Design and deploy microservices and AWS Lambda functions, leveraging event-driven architecture.
• Ruby on Rails Contribution: Work with existing Rails codebases (or be willing to learn) to deliver features and improvements.
• Collaboration: Partner with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Legacy System Support: Assist with maintaining and modernizing legacy components as part of the team's roadmap.
• Problem Solving: Debug and resolve issues quickly while suggesting improvements for future prevention.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and expand your skillset, especially in Rails if it's new to you.

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidate must be located in India.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Kotlin and its ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and AWS Lambda.
• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other backend frameworks in addition to Rails and Kotlin.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and worker systems (e.g., Sidekiq, Kafka).
• Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
