Senior Account Manager
The Senior Account Manager will play a vital role in planning, conducting, and managing accountability for assigned sales and account management activities. This position aims to grow client business in alignment with annual client business plans and sales goals, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, customers, and partners, ensuring all voices are heard and respected.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of client business strategies, growth goals, performance, and priorities, considering diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Educate clients, customers, and partners on DLT's core value services, promoting accessibility and understanding.
- Conduct research to identify opportunities, ensuring a broad range of perspectives are considered.
- Reach out to potential sales prospects, employing inclusive communication strategies.
- Manage and report on the team's monthly sales activity documentation, such as Sales Plays, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
- Engage in lead generation and sales activities that reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Make calls to potential customers to discuss assigned client products, using inclusive language and approaches.
- Collaborate with other DLT functional teams to contribute to proposal responses, valuing diverse input and ideas.
- Leverage DLT's OCTO team of market executives and technologists to support client growth objectives, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Lead sales and marketing activities to promote client products, ensuring diverse representation in marketing materials.
- Provide operational guidance and support to junior staff, encouraging a culture of mentorship and growth.
- Offer on-the-job coaching and training for sales associates, lead development representatives, and account managers, focusing on inclusive practices.
- Manage, document, and forecast a pipeline of opportunities to drive retention and growth of business with DLT, ensuring equitable access to opportunities.
- Track all opportunities to support the attainment of sales goals, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Conduct client and customer success activities to retain and build business, ensuring all clients feel valued and supported.
- Investigate and resolve client and customer issues as they arise, prioritizing empathy and understanding.
- Document quotes and other sales activities accurately in the company CRM, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Manage agreements and credit terms as needed, promoting fairness and transparency.
- Inform and execute business planning objectives, including internal team and client/partner joint business plans, with a focus on inclusivity.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: College degree or equivalent work or military experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, 3-5 years of general business experience, 3-5 years of customer service experience, and/or team leadership experience; 2-4 years of previous job experience with public sector procurement processes; demonstrated ability to achieve sales activity and financial metrics.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office (comfortable with intermediate functions of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
