Technical Support Engineer

Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

What You'll Do:

  1. Act as the first point of contact resolving vendor client's tickets regarding network technologies in accordance with contractual SLA
  2. Identify root cause and conduct advanced analysis by applying network engineering principles and vendor specific guidelines in live or remote troubleshooting
  3. Continuously attend training sessions and obtain required certifications per vendor requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Some college required - education in network engineering or relevant work experience desired
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Cisco CCNA
  • CompTIA Net+
  • Sec+
  • Industry recognized certifications in any technology
  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed
  • Able to use common office equipment
  • Possesses basic data entry skills
  • Possesses strong data entry skills
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Able to perform complex mathematical calculations
  • Able to demonstrate complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making
  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information
  • Able to converse and write effectively in English and other local / regional language
  • Able to create and conduct formal presentations
  • Able to interact effectively with high levels of management (managers & above.)
  • Able to negotiate skillfully and promote/sell ideas persuasively
  • Understand, communicate, and collaborate effectively with people across various identities

Working Conditions:

Annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.

  • Hiring Salary Range: $56,100.00 - $64,000.00 USD
