Operational Analyst

The Operational Analyst supports the Global Equity Derivative Structured Notes Trading & Sales teams with their daily processes. They also execute on critical projects and strategic special initiatives within Structured Notes Operations that may require broader partnership across TDS and/or other TD enterprise functions. Enhance management decision making on policies, processes, products and services based on insights generated from analytics and reporting to advance the operating model / processes and elevate service quality. Facilitate the implementation of policies/processes and/or initiatives to meet functional objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide deep technical/operational process support to Global Operations & Business Services.
  • Identify, document, and investigate exceptions that go beyond first-level service resolution.
  • Act as project lead or SME for small-scale initiatives, ensuring adherence to project management standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration with partners, subject matter experts, and stakeholders on key initiatives.
  • Provide regular project updates and escalate issues to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and rollout of new products, workflows, and services.
  • Deliver accurate analysis of process drivers and root causes of operational issues, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that create value for internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors; represent Operations in resolving complex end-to-end issues.

Share expertise and thought leadership to evaluate and improve processes across teams.

Engage in professional development and cross-training to strengthen knowledge and capabilities.

Keep team members informed of project progress and daily operational activities.

Support peer development through mentorship, coaching, and sharing of best practices.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Foster an equitable, inclusive workplace that supports diversity.

Serve as a brand ambassador for Global Operations & Business Services and TD Bank.

Advanced knowledge of operating environments, business processes, and transaction lifecycles.

Ability to manage standard and non-standard processes of moderate to high complexity and risk.

Skilled in investigating and resolving non-standard issues, escalating where necessary.

Deliver insightful reporting and analysis to support business needs.

Working-level knowledge of the supported functional/business areas with focus on short- to medium-term objectives.

May act as a working lead on initiatives and represent the team in cross-organizational forums.

Provide training and guidance to junior staff on operational best practices.

Ability to support multiple functions across the broader business.

Reports directly to the Group Manager.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, advanced degree, and/or certifications.
