Job Description: As a member of the Compensation Effectiveness and Delivery (CED) team, you will provide support to the Total Rewards Compensation COE in the delivery of effective compensation strategies, processes, and programs. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the enhancements and delivery of compensation system, tools, reporting, and processes across our entire enterprise.

Key Accountabilities

Customer

  • Lead compensation delivery and solutions planning and enhancements in partnership with technology pod, Compensation COE partners, and stakeholders.
  • Understanding requirements from a policy, program delivery, and user experience perspective to support change readiness activities (communications, reference materials, and training).
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with both business and user experience focus – system and reporting.
  • Develop and execute diverse programs, implement and develop activities, tools and programs for businesses, and support people strategy and management activities
  • Manage, analyze and draw insights from data to inform priorities and initiatives, including post-implementation reviews and program analysis to ensure solutions continue to meet HR strategy and vision
  • Research, analyze and develop Best in Class solutions designed to address gaps and developmental priorities aligned to business needs and the TDBG people mandate
  • Support the implementation, management and monitoring of a consistent, disciplined processes/ programs

Shareholder

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area
  • Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements ( e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists
  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues
  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Lead cross-functional projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity
  • Independently manage end-to-end functional programs
  • Solve or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
  • Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions
  • Impact the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for
  • Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methods

  • Work autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise
  • Generally reports to a Senior Manager or above

Experience & Education

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications to interpret policies and apply standards to complete assignments in a fast-changing environment
  • An analytical mind with orientation to detail for handling initiatives, projects and programs with minimal direction from management
  • Proven ability to deliver superior operational and program delivery results both in short and long term in alignment with overall business strategies
  • Strong communicator who engages colleagues, business partners, and employees
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
