Internship/Co-op Opportunity

This internship/co-op opportunity is for a summer/term 3 position in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada. The role offers 37.5 hours per week and a pay range of $45,700 - $74,400 CAD. Department Overview

The Daily Reconciliation Team (DRT) performs high risk balance sheet account reconciliations. The team ensures completeness and accuracy of these reconciliations while meeting TDBG Reconciliations policies and other policies. The team also ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are up to date along with performing some journal entries.

Job Description

  • Reconcile the GL, bank and other accounts to appropriate source documentation or source system
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliation
  • Perform investigation or variances, document resolution plan and aged items
  • Build continuities/schedules
  • Obtain and maintain evidence of review and supporting documentation to ensure appropriate audit trail
  • Facilitate GL Account Attestation and Exception Reporting

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
  • Intermediate to advanced excel is a must have along all other Microsoft applications
  • Accounting and finance knowledge
  • Communication skills, teamwork and troubleshooting and investigating skills
