Data Scientist III

We are seeking a Data Scientist III to support the Human Resources segment by leading end-to-end analytics initiatives and providing actionable insights that drive business actions and value. This includes data exploration, requirements gathering, presenting insights and employing advanced analytics capabilities.

CUSTOMER

  • Partner with business owners to spot opportunities and advocate data science.
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions by grasping context and systems.
  • Use a wide range of programming languages (e.g. Python) and techniques for extracting and preparing data, applying statistics and various advanced analytics, along with business acumen to extract insights from the big data.
  • Visualize insights from the data to tell and illustrate stories that clearly convey the meaning of results to decision-makers and stakeholders at every level of technical understanding.
  • Collaborate with other partners, such as data and business analysts, software engineer, data engineers, and application developers to develop scalable and sustainable data science solutions that retains long term benefit to the business.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Analytical thought leadership and stay current on developments in data mining and the application of data science.
  • Solicit and offer ideas for improving business processes through insights with the objective of improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Educate and empower the organization by communicating scientific principles, statistical validation techniques, and best practices to drive alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Help the organization understand the principles and the math behind the scientist process to drive organizational alignment.
  • Translate up to date information into continuous improvement activities that enhance performance Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area.
  • Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities.
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist.
  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues.
  • Ensure programs, policies, and practices are managed effectively, align with business and regulatory requirements, and foster a culture of risk management and control.

BREADTH & DEPTH:

  • Support a major business management function with enterprise-wide impact and accountability.
  • Acts as an expert with specialized domain knowledge and support complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Frequently collaborates with senior management and operates independently on technical solutions.
  • Enterprise or functional expert, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the enterprise, business, regulatory and industry levels.
  • Work independently on activities related to analysis, design and support of technical data management solutions on various projects ranging in complexity and size.
  • May manage and prioritize multiple projects at a given time.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or
  • 5+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, MS Office applications.
  • Possess the ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into key and concise messages for the senior leadership team.
  • Strong statistical and analytic skills, including data analysis and predictive models.
  • Have familiarity with AI/ML based models.
  • Good understanding of overall machine learning and generative AI applications.
  • Strong Banking and product knowledge is preferable.
  • Familiarity with cloud service platforms is preferable.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Works efficiently and has solid organizational skills/time management, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities/initiatives.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Certification in cloud platforms
