As a Software Engineer Intern, you will support the development and maintenance of web applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end features. You will work closely with senior engineers and designers, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle and modern frameworks. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the development of user interfaces and interactive features using modern front-end technologies (e.g., Vue.js).
• Supporting the design and implementation of server-side solutions and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Helping to design and optimize database schemas, and writing queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Collaborating with team members to integrate front-end and back-end components within the overall system architecture.
• Participating in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions to learn best practices and improve code quality.
• Staying informed about current trends in web development and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
• Maintaining documentation for code, APIs, and technical specifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with the intent to return to school after the internship.
• Basic proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one back-end language.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (e.g., FastAPI).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume or build them in web applications.
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with personal projects, coursework, or previous internships in web development is considered an asset.

• This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 4– August 21, 2026.
