Technology Graduate Program

The Technology Graduate Program offers graduates of Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields the opportunity to work in one of TD's many lines of business. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and assignments alongside experienced colleagues. You will receive coaching and mentorship from experienced business and technology leaders.

TDS Data Platform and Engineering team is responsible for designing and managing scalable, secure and reliable infrastructure, automate workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The team loves to add value by delivering innovative data solutions in small increments. We are a highly collaborative agile team where everyone's perspective is heard, and as a team, we strive for ongoing improvement and learning. We solve complex problems involving large-scale data processing and analytics by delivering technical solutions that are based on simple design, clean code, quality as a fundamental building block, and frequent user feedback. Our data platform not only provides quick and efficient solutions but also empowers our developers, analysts, and traders to make data-driven decisions and maximize opportunities in the market.

Key technologies:

The successful grad will gain experience with the following technologies:

• Jira/GitHub/Confluence to collaborate
• Java (Spring Boot) to process data and build APIs
• Python for analytical solutions
• Apache Spark and Dremio to process big data
• JavaScript (React or similar) to visualize data
• Azure Cloud Data Platform Ecosystem which includes Databricks, AKS, ADLS, ADF
• Kafka to move data around
• Github actions to build and deploy
• SonarQube & Veracode for vulnerability and code analysis
• Datadog & Dynatrace for observability and monitoring

Job responsibilities may include:

• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure data platforms.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data platform reliability and performance.
• Implement automation to improve data workflows and ensure data quality.
• Support cloud-based data environments and troubleshoot platform-related issues.
• Contribute to the development of tools and frameworks for data analytics and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in team discussions to continuously improve platform engineering practices.
• Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) on new technologies and document findings
• Provide recommendations with full usability analysis.
• Respond to business and users' enquiries on business applications
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause and resolution for platform defects
• Help enhancer quality and minimize defects by testing and debugging using available/appropriate tools and participate in reviewing peer coding
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology (PMLC) to complete specific development tasks for projects.
• Adhere to standard security coding practices to ensure application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities
• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery

Job requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following skills:

• Graduating in 2026 with a degree in Computer science, Engineering, Computing, or similar
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative work ethic and a bias for action.
• A thirst for constantly exploring emerging technology
• Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Coding and debugging skills in any language (e.g. JAVA, JS, Python)
• Basic SQL commands (DDL, DML)
• Familiarity with source code management such as GIT

Additional Beneficial Skills and Nice to Have Skillsets Include:

• DB skills e.g., SQL, RDBMS databases
• API design and gRPC
• Spring Framework
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies and microservices architectures.
• A Passion for Data Engineering

Terms of Offer

• Initial term contract for the graduate role is 12 months starting the end of July 2026
• The role will be based in our Dublin office at 1 Molesworth Street
• Prior to any formal offer being made, successful applicants must provide proof of their unrestricted right to live & work in Ireland.
