The Opportunity

TC Energy is looking to add an Energy Problem Solver in Calgary, AB to support our efforts in the Engineering Design and Drafting Services (ED&DS) team and our daily operations.

We are seeking students enrolled in an Engineering Technology Diploma or related programs to support our Engineering Design and Drafting Services (ED&DS) team.

The ED&DS team provides technical design and drafting support for Projects, Safety and Technical Services, and Operations. Our centralized team of design and drafting technicians work together with these stakeholder teams to develop, maintain, and update engineering drawings, laser scans, and 3D models of TC Energy assets.

We engage our students in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team, you'll do exciting, challenging work, solve real world problems, and make a meaningful impact. You'll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge, skills and passion for what you do.

Term length is for 16 months

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Engineering Technology Diploma, particularly Drafting, or related degree program with at least one semester of education completed
• Enrollment at an accredited polytechnic, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in CADWorx and AutoCAD software.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of both 2-D and 3-D drawing technologies.
• Passion for quality, compliance to standards, and continual improvement
• Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
• Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
• Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
