  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide 24/7 environmental emergency response support and assist with environment-related incident investigations
  • Attend regional pre-project meetings and provide environmental input to ensure hazards and risks are identified, evaluated, and appropriately managed
  • Participate in regulatory inspections and support the communication, tracking, and closure of findings, commitments, and corrective actions
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities with landowners and Indigenous communities, as required
  • Communicate new or revised Environment Program requirements to Operations teams, support training delivery, and participate in JHSEC, EPT, CAT, and other relevant committees or initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant environmental or industry experience
  • Knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations and experience working with federal and provincial regulators, including the Canada Energy Regulator, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, and Environment and Climate Change Canada
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable provincial and federal legislation, including EPEA, the Waste Control Regulation, Alberta Water Act, Fisheries Act, and Species at Risk Act

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional designation or certification
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide clear recommendations
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment and time management)
  • Ability to create and sustain critical partnerships, and effectively network across multiple business functions
  • Emergency response experience and training (e.g., Incident Command System (ICS))
  • Embrace safety leadership and TC Energy's "Safety in Every Step; Energy in Every Action" culture
