The Opportunity

TC Energy is looking to add an Energy Problem Solver in Kingston, ON to support our efforts in Energy Problem Solving and our daily operations.

We are seeking students enrolled in a university/trade program in Electrical & Instrumentation Controls, Mechanical Technology or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Technologist Program) or related degree program.

We engage our technical interns in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team, you'll do exciting, challenging work, solve real world problems, and make a meaningful impact. You'll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge, skills and passion for what you do.

Working with a team of compression technicians across Ontario- you'll gain invaluable experience and insight into pipeline infrastructure, valve and station maintenance, and remote operations and controls in the Natural Gas and Energy Industry. The regular work schedule for this position will be:

Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day

Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day; 8 hours on Friday

The term is for 4 months

Minimum Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in university/trade program in Electrical & Instrumentation Controls, Mechanical Technology or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Technologist Program) or related degree program, with at least one semester of education completed
  • Enrollment at an accredited Polytechnic, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term
