The Network Engineer is responsible for the support, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. Operating within a geographically distributed team and a largely outsourced delivery model, the role ensures the stability, performance, and security of network services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role acts as a technical authority and escalation point for third-line network incidents and problems. It also collaborates closely with peers in the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team and outsourced service partners to ensure that the network estate supports wider business and IT goals. The Network Engineer will participate in a shared on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support coverage for critical incidents. This role works in close partnership with the Security & Network Architect within the Enterprise Solutions & Architecture function to ensure all network designs and changes align with enterprise architecture, security policies, and governance standards.
